My nails are very hard. Will the Micron Crystal Nail File work for me?

Yes—and you can file in both directions without hurting your nails. If you wish, you can moisten the file for easier and more effective filing.

Can I clean the Natural Nails Micron Crystal Nail File?

Yes, it can be washed and sanitized with soap and water and you can even run it in your dishwasher.


The Micron Crystal Nail File has a 9.5 degree of hardness. What does that mean?

The short answer is that it's really hard! The numerical value of the file is based upon the classic scale for hardness published by Frederick Mohs in 1822. The scale features 10 abundant minerals as standards, arranged in order of increasing hardness:

1 = Talc 3 = Calcite 5 = Apatite (fluorapatite) 7 = Quartz   9 = Corundum
2 = Gypsum 4 = Fluorite 6 = Orthoclase 8 = Topaz 10 = Diamond

How often should I use the buffer pads on my nails?

Our No. 1 Cleansing Buffer Pad should be used once a month to clean the nails. The No. 2 and No. 3 Buffer Pads may be used as often as desired to seal, protect, and shine the nail surfaces


What does the Cleansing Buffer Pad do for my nails?

Our Cleansing Buffer Pad No. 1 gently removes dirt, grease, discoloration, and ridges on fingernail surfaces.


What does the Structuring Buffer Pad do for my nails?

Our Structuring Buffer Pad brings natural oils to the surface of the nail. This oil combines with the ruby dust to seal and protect the nail surface as well as to stimulate circulation to encourage growth.


What does the Sealing Buffer Pad do for my nails?

Our Sealing Buffer Pad smoothes the nail surface. The ruby dust bonds with natural oils on the surface of the nail, sealing the whole nail surface and creating a high-gloss natural shine which repels dirt and dust.


Will the buffer pads wear out?

Yes, and you'll be able to tell when they're worn and need replacing. For best results, you'll want to replace the buffers regularly.


How many buffers come in a package?

If you order only one type of buffer, they come three to a package. However, you can order a buffer set and receive one of each type of buffer.
